Standing Together at Life's Hardest Moment
Established in 1964, the Muslim Burial Society is a mutual support organisation based in Bradford. We exist to support members and their families with funeral costs and guidance at the time of a death, in line with Islamic practice.
What We Do
01.
— We Support
On the death of a member, we pay up to £2,000 directly to the funeral director, so families aren’t left facing funeral costs alone at the hardest of times.
02.
— We Connect
We work with trusted funeral directors and local cemeteries in Bradford, helping families arrange burial quickly and in line with Islamic practice.
03.
— We Strengthen
Every member’s contribution supports the whole community. It’s a mutual system built on shared responsibility, not profit.
04.
— We Guide
From registering a death to booking the Janaza prayer, we provide clear, step-by-step guidance so families know exactly what to do and who to call.
05.
— We Provide
Our committee is available by phone at any time of need, offering practical help and reassurance during a difficult and often overwhelming time.
06.
— We Advise
We help prospective members understand eligibility, fees, and what the Society does and doesn’t cover, so there’s never any confusion about what you’re signing up for.
